Cook Islands 1935 - George V Silver Jubilee

 South Pacific Ocean, northeast of New Zealand. Became a British protectorate in 1888 and then went to New Zealand in 1901. Remained a New Zealand protectorate until 1965 and then took the current form of self-government. Are in fact largely independent, but are still officially considered to be under the sovereignty of New Zealand.

Tangier 1935 George V Silver Jubilee

Tangier is a city in northern Morocco, at the western entrance of the Strait of Gibraltar. Tangier was made an international zone in 1923 under the joint administration of France, Spain and Great Britain in an international convention signed in Paris. The governments of Italy, Portugal and Belgium adhered to the convention in 1928, and the government of the Netherlands in 1929. Tangier joined with the rest of Morocco following the restoration of full sovereignty in 1956.

Niue 1935 - George V Silver Jubilee

Island in the south Pacific Ocean, northeast of New Zealand. Niue, also known as Savage Island, was annexed to New Zealand in 1901 with the Cook Islands. Niue achieved internal self-government in 1974.

Nauru 1935 - George V Silver Jubilee

Nauru is an island nation in Oceania. Discovery by Europeans in 1798, became part of German New Guinea in 1888. In 1899, the phosphate deposits are discovered. In 1914, Australia took control of Nauru, in 1920 the League of Nations assigns the territory fiduciary United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. After the war, the island is administered by Australia as a territory of the United Nations Trusteeship. The independence is achieved by 31 January 1968.

New Zealand 1935 - George V Silver Jubilee

 New Zealand is an island country in Oceania, place the South Pacific Ocean. The first Europeans to visit the islands were the Dutch in 1642. Since 1840 substantial waves of European settlers arrived in New Zealand and, in 1854, was installed the first New Zealand parliament. In 1893 New Zealand was distinguished as the first country in the world to recognize the right of women to vote. In 1907 the New Zealand acquired the status of dominion, then became fully independent in 1947.

Straits Settlements 1935 - George V Silver Jubilee

Malay Peninsula in southeastern Asia. The colony comprised the settlements of Malacca, Singapore and Penang, which were incorporated under one government in 1826 and the administration transferred from India to the Secretary of State for the Colonies in 1867. The colony was dissolved in 1946 when Singapore became a separate crown colony. Malacca and Penang were incorporated into the Malayan Union, which became the Federation of Malaya in 1948.

New Guinea -1935- Silver Jubilee

 On an island with the same name in the South Pacific, north of Australia. Mandate administered by Australia. The territory occupies the northeastern part of the island and includes New Britain and other nearby islands. It was formerly a German possession and should not be confused with British New Guinea (Papua) which is in the southeastern part of the same island, nor  Netherlands New Guinea.

 India is a country in South Asia. From the sixteenth century, several European countries started arriving, as traders initially, but then taking advantage of the rifts between the various kingdoms, we went with imposing their colonies. In 1856, most of India was under the control of the British East India Company and administered directly by the United Kingdom from the mid-19th century. India became an independent nation in 1947.

Canada -1935- Silver Jubilee

Canada is a federal state in the northern part of North America, and is, after Russia, the largest country in the world. The first Europeans to arrive on the coast of Canada were the Vikings around the year one thousand. The Canada became a possession of France in 1534 and then subjected to the dominion of Great Britain in 1763. The dominion of Canada gained full independence in 1931.

Nigeria 1935 Silver Jubilee

West coast of Africa, bordering on the Gulf of Guinea. Nigeria became a British protectorate in 1901, and a colony in 1914. The mandated Territory of Cameroons (British) was Also attached for administrative purposes. The Federation of Nigeria was formed in 1960. It Became a republic in 1963.

Newfoundland - 1935 - Silver Jubilee

Island in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Canada, and Labrador, a part of the mainland. Newfoundland was a self-governing Dominion of the British Empire from 1855 to 1933, when it became a Crown Colony. In 1949 it united with Canada
