Württemberg is an area and a former state in southwestern Germany. Originariamente signoria, poi contea dal XII secolo, quindi ducato dal 1495, regno dal 1806. In 1918 it became a republic called the Free People's State of Württemberg. After World War II, Württemberg was divided between the United States and French occupation zones. After the Federal Republic of Germany was formed in 1949 these two states merged with Baden in 1952 to become the modern German state of Baden-Württemberg.
75th Anniversary of UPU
The Universal Postal Union is a specialized agency of the United Nations that coordinates postal policies among member countries, in addition to the worldwide postal system. Before the establishment of the UPU, each country had to prepare a separate treaty with other nations that post had wanted to bring international mail to and from. The UPU was created in 1874
