The territory of Wallis and Futuna is a French island territory located in the southern part of the Pacific Ocean. Discovered by the Dutch and the British in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, the French were the first Europeans to settle in this area. Between 1887 and 1888 the islands were made a French protectorate and placed under the authority of the French colony of New Caledonia. In 1917 he became the Colony of Wallis and Futuna and later became a French overseas territory in 1961

but was not placed on sale in Wallis and Futuna Island.
