St. Cristopher Nevis Anguilla - 1953 - Queen Elizabeth II  Coronation

Saint Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla was a Crown Colony and later, a Dependent Territory of the United Kingdom located in the Caribbean Sea. In 1958, it became a province of the West Indies Federation. When the regional federation of British islands collapsed in 1962, Saint Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla became involved in several attempts by movements towards another union in the Caribbean region. In 1967, the territory of Saint Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla was granted full internal autonomy.

Queen Elizabeth II  Coronation

On 2nd June 1953 Princess Elizabeth was crowned Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and Ceylon, thus assuming the role of Head of the Commonwealth. Elizabeth ascended to the throne of these countries following the death of his father, King George VI. During the coronation ceremony, Queen Elizabeth swore an oath to uphold the law in his kingdom and take over the government of the Church of England.
