Hyderabad - Selection of stamps

The state of Hyderabad was a princely been in the Indian subcontinent, with its capital Hyderabad. From 1798 Hyderabad was one of the princely states existing alongside British India. When India gained independence from British rule in 1947, the local rulers were determined to maintain their independence, but the Government of the Republic of India incorporated the State  of Hyderabad by force
