Falkland Islands - 1937 - George VI Coronation

A group of islands at the southern end of South America. Controversy exists on the discovery and colonization of the Falkland Islands by Europeans. There have been settlements French, British, Spanish, and Argentine. Britain has re-established his rule in 1833, although the islands are still claimed by Argentina. In 1982, Argentina occupies the islands, the British send their armed forces to retake the territory. Under the British Nationality Act 1983 Falkland Islanders are British citizens legally.
