Up to 1932, the commemorative Italian, were overprinted for each of the five African colonies, giving rise to a huge number of stamps, often of little use postal. From July 1, 1932 until 1934, the commemorative were issued in a single series with legend "Poste Coloniali" and in one case with overprint "Colonie Italiane." These values were sold and used in all the colonies of Africa.
