Seychelles, 1946 - WW II victory

A group of islands in the Indian Ocean, off the coast of Africa, north of Madagascar. The islands were attached to the  colony of Mauritius from 1810 to 1903, when they became a separate  colony. Seychelles achieved internal self-government in 1975 and independence on  1976.
